Would you like to win $20 in book vouchers for a local bookshop?The Forest of Arden blog has been very quiet in the last few months so I thought I'd try to revive it.
If you are a booklover and you'd like to make a visit to the bookshop at the Mall during the holiday, perhaps you could use some book vouchers to help you out. It's always nice to be able to borrow books from the SRR, but nothing beats buying your own book from a bookstore and keeping it all to yourself. And there's nothing like opening up a book that has never been read before - or is it just me that really enjoys that?
Anyway, let's have a contest that will get students interested in reading the books we have in the SRR.
The contest rules are very simple:
- You must be a student at Mr Jason's school.
- The deadline for entries is June 2nd.
- The draw will be made in 9A at 7:30 on June 3rd.
- One prize of $20 in book vouchers will be given.
- You must reply in the "comments" section of this post and include the following:
- full name
- class
- tell us about a book you've enjoyed recently

Hey, Mr Jason. So, here is my review;
Poison (by Chris Wooding) is a very great and marvelous epic. Full of surprises and unexpected encountering in every turning page. Wooding had created a very vivid images and leaves a very affectionate imagination to its reader. As you read this book, your mind would wander and your train of thoughts would start roaming around. I truly never thought imagination could be this...contagious! So, watch out because you will have to keep up with your ever-galloping-imagination when you read this book.

Hi Mr. Jason!
A book i enjoyed reading recently is, of course, The Hunger Games. The authors of most books i've read had always been nice and sympathetic when it comes to deciding what happens to their main characters, but i gotta say, Suzanne Collins is an exception. The way she describes the ordeals that the characters go through really made me go 'wow'! I seriously considered the possibility of Katniss dying in the first book. And i loved the very gruesome twist towards the end. Very clever. And sick.
